There's Something About Sarah

Sarah also enjoys rollerblading, ice skating, water skiing, and occasionally goes cliff diving. She was a competitive figure skater for 3 years and was ranked 3rd in a New York State regional competition. She has taken 5 years of Tae Kwon Do and is active in physical fitness. Sarah is an only child and considers herself a workaholic. She attended high school at Professional Children's School in New York and graduated two years early with a 4.0 average.

Sarah began her acting career at age 4 when she was discovered by an agent while eating in a local restaurant. Three weeks later she was on the set of her first film, An Invasion of Privacy. This chance discovery was to later boost her professional career which has lasted 18 of her 21 years of life. In addition to having been one of the two regular hostesses of the TV talk show, "Girl Talk," Sarah is a veteran of TV, film, and stage. She has appeared with Matthew Broderick and Eric Stoltz in The Widow Claire at the Circle in the Square. She has appeared on Spenser: For Hire, Love, Sidney, The David Letterman Show and The Regis Philbin Show. She has done over 100 commercials and is a Wilhelmina Model. She has also appeared in Crossbow which she filmed in France and Switzerland. Sarah played Molly in the original cast of Neil Simon's Jake's Women and young Jacqueline Bouvier in the award winning NBC mini-series A Woman Named Jackie. Sarah started to gain a small, but loyal, fanbase when she played the lead role of Sydney Rutledge in the teen soap opera, Swans Crossing.

On February 24th 1993, Sarah Michelle began work on the set of All My Children. She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 1994 and, although she lost, she was nominated again in 1995 and won in the Younger Leading Actress category. Although she had given the producers 6 months notice of her decision to leave the show, she made her decision public the day after the Emmy Awards. After 2 ½ years, Sarah left the set of AMC and moved to California to seek new fame in films or TV.

Buffy In 1996, Sarah was picked as the lead of a new series called Buffy the Vampire Slayer, based on the movie by the same name. Warner Brothers bought 13 episodes of the show, and although ratings of the pilot were the highest ever of any of the WB lineup, it ranked 100th out of 107 programs in the Nielson ratings. Warner Brothers renewed the show for another 22 episodes which will begin airing September 15th.

In June, Sarah finished shooting I Know What You Did Last Summer, which starred her and Jenniffer Love Hewitt as teens that try to cover up a hit and run accident. It was released on October 17th and became number one that weekend, earning a profit in just two days. Shortly after filming IKWYDLS, Sarah flew down to Atlanta, GA to film Scream 2, which had the largest December opening of a film and made more money in it's first weekend than the other top 9 films combined. Sarah starts filming her next film, Cruel Intentions, on April 6th, and follows that up with another movie entitled Simply Irresistible.

Sarah Michelle Gellar at the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards On March 10, 1998, Sarah won a Blockbuster Entertainment Award in the Best Supporting Actress - Horror category for her role in I Know What You Did Last Summer.

I received an autographed picture of Sara Michelle Geller in the mail on Friday. It's just like the one on the right, I just didn't want to scan it in. It came with a Certificate of Authanticity too, so it's gotta be legit. It's been put in a glass frame and hung on my wall. It's my first autograph. I'd like to see if I can get one of Sara and Jennifer-Love from I Know What You Did Last Summer. Anyone have one that they're willing to part with? :)

I received another Buffy autograph in the mail today. I've sent away for a picture of Neve Campbell from Scream which should be coming within the next few weeks. I'll see if I can get a Jennifer Love Hewitt before summer starts.

I got an autographed picture of the girl who plays Cordehlia on Buffy and now Angel. I'll scan in a pic and put it up soon.
